Charlotte is lacking in main stream vegan product options at our
chain markets. The only one that is impressive is
Lowes Foods and we
have given them a full page write up here.
We believe they must have little vegan elves working there! We are
currently revisiting all of our local chains to give you up to date
information on the vegan fare available and are reporting last visit
results.:

THE VEGAN ELVES apparently HAVE QUIT!) I
am not happy with them right now!
Harris Teeter: () They carry Soy Milk and some Boca products. If
you are in the produce section they have the Light Life
products. I highly recommend the "Smart BBQ" and I do love their
hot dogs! They have an outstanding make your own salad bar and
the best Vegetable Sushi you can buy on the run. They have
definitely stepped up on the vegan friendly chart and has
surpassed Lowes!
Food Lion:
The last trip there the only products we found were the Morningstar®
Chicken and Steak Strips. They carry a selection of soy milks and at
the holidays they had vegan eggnog. They do have one plus though.
Their store brand biscuits, Texas Style Artificially Flavored
Butter Biscuits are vegan!
